They have something called “black ice” in Alaska which leads to brown stains on the driver’s seat.

Though the coefficient of friction never gets to zer0, it can easily be below what you need (and want).

The worst is when the surface temp is near freezing.

They have that where ever there is freezing rain and night and the staining effect is the same everywhere.
