Help! Somehow the task bar jumped to the top of the computer screen. Yes, I'm logged in. Yes, I know how to move the task bar around - right click, unlock task bar and move it. Problem is when I move it back to the bottom, it leaves an empty space where it was at the top and is ghosty when it's back at the bottom (the background shows through it). So, I clicked it back to the top and back down again and now the second problem... the internet screen is getting smaller and smaller. Each time I move the task bar from the top, the 1/2" it was using stays there showing a 1/2" of the desk top. Move the task bar a second time and it's 1" of desk top showing at the top and less readable internet screen. Move it a third time and it's 1.5" of desktop showing and 1.5" less readable screen. Rinse and repeat. Yes, the obvious thing would be to quit moving the task bar (Doc, my arm hurts when I do this - so quit moving your arm). But how the heck do I get my readable part of the screen back to 100%? No, right clicking to get arrows to expand it doesn't work - no arrows appear.
no offense taken and yeah i thought of that but i dont think bgill is a rocket scientist
;-))
Thanks for responding but I accidently fixed the problem myself. There was a little box beside the red X delete button that did the trick.
No rocket scientist or computer whiz but I can read cursive.
This instruction is correct with one exception. It is LEFT click, not right. Basically a grab and drag.
My kids used to do this to my computer all the time. No one could ever say how they did it, but it happens more often than one would think.
To solve the growing taskbar problem, you just "hover" at the top edge of the taskbar (if the bar is at the top, hover at the lower edge) without clicking and you will see the double arrow. Left click and drag to adjust the size.
reboot
What do you do with all that extra time?
Sounds like you have the red X delete button virus.
Better download malwarebytes and combofix
;-)
You must be short?
I'm surprised you asked. Of course I use it to spend more time on good old FR.
no, wait . . .
That is the craziest thing I have heard all hour.
I would advise not to move it around. lol. You don’t play with sores, didn’t your parents ever say that?
Shrinking internet windows....
I use Linux, what’s a task bar?
:p
/s
Have you tried a different browser?
Try holding down the Control-Alt-Right arrow keys at the same time
Sorry to hear you are stuck with Linux. You have missed out on a multitude of what I refer to as Bill Gates Mysteries.
Oh well.
As to what a Task Bar is ... Here is a simple explanation:
A Bar is place that sells alcoholic beverages.
A Task is something you have to do but don’t really want to do, at least not right now.
So, a Task Bar is a place to go to and have a drink while you contemplate your unfinished or unstarted tasks.
lol
I am not one either as you could prolly tell from my so helpful posts. I can speak in cursive.
