Hope you’re not getting flooded.

Yes, I am. It’s been off and on with a nice little rainfall. The neighbor’s yardman was able to get their yard mowed without getting his shirt wet. It’s sprinkling now so I ran out to check the gauge which is showing 1 1/4”.

Last I heard from family in F’burg was this morning with 4”. The current radar is showing the heavier is down at San Antonio and a line NE from there though it could change overnight. We need it but it won’t do much for the lakes.

I spoke quite briefly several days ago with a friend of mine I’ve been playing phone tag with for a few months. Got a hold of her, but she was frantic and said she couldn’t talk because her house is flooded. She is in the northern outskirts of San Antonio.

If we flood, Austin is in for a hell of a surprise! We are about 750’ and Lake Travis is about .5 mile to our west. We live on a hilltop that is almost the highest point in the immediate neighborhood. There are higher points, but all runoff runs away from our house. Just looked a bit ago and we’ve had about 5.5 - 6” today.
