Mexico is an extremely rich third world country. While not a total dictatorship, it’s pretty close being an oligarchy with an old European class social system.
The only reasons we tolerate them is 1) supposed cheap labor which, of course, is really paid for by the tax payers through welfare (suck it corporations and if we need cheap illegal labor then why does the gov’t keep raising the minimum wage?)
2) Oil. Mexico is still our #2 foreign oil supplier. Canada is #1. Venezuala is in the top five I believe. Which begs the question why so much Middle East involvment when, statistically, they are not a large supplier overall.
Hell, one ANWR and we don’t need Mexico on down. Keep Canada as a partner with pipelines and natural gas and nuclear electrical generation and to hell with everyone else.
Sheild Israel and let the rest burn.
Per capita it has more billionaires than any Western nation on Earth. But you'd never know from all the bs put out about the ''poor, hungry but hard working Mexicans.''
“The only reasons we tolerate them is 1) supposed cheap labor which, of course, is really paid for by the tax payers through welfare (suck it corporations and if we need cheap illegal labor then why does the govt keep raising the minimum wage?)” It’s never mentioned but I’ve been told by Contractor friends that it ties into union labors wages.
I like the way you think!
