Author John J. Newman has some explaining to do. His textbook, United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination, literally rewrites the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
On page 102 of Newman’s book (page 134 of the PDF version), the author cuts the Second Amendment in half and leaves out several key words.

Agreed. Parents need to be vigilant at all times to make sure their kids aren’t indoctrinated by the leftist propaganda that passes for education today.
Public school is de facto child abuse, imho.
Almost the only way you can ensure they aren’t indoctrinated with left wing propaganda is home schooling. The insidious lefty curse is very, very sneaky.

On the 2A it was abysmal. I’m thinking of asking the indoctrinator/teacher for *equal time* when he gets to that chapter.

And I bet the authors cannot even define what the “militia” is.
But to be fair, I am not certain what the “militia” is in todays modernity.
That’s been going on since the 1960’s. I still have the textbook.

Lucky for me my kids are all grown. So now, gotta watch out for what the indoctrinators are feeding the gran chilluns.
They gutted the 1st Amendment as well: “Congress may not favor one religion over another (separation of church and state).”
I haven’t read the whole thing, but agree that anyone who still has a child in this public school system needs to pull their kid/kids and do their own educating - great resources out there, including the actual Constitution unrevised.

Just saying that the armed Patriots may be forced to form militias if and when the Usurper in Chief makes a move that finally cannot be ignored.

But according to 10 USC 311, everyone is already in the militia, (the language is, well, confusing, to say the least).
So, in your scenario, one would have to forsake one militia in deference to another.
I pray to God that this never happens. Some folks have a notion that it would go badly for the organized military, if they were to agree to such a venture. I think differently.
Folks think they would have time to organize, train, and have a meaningful supply train for such militias. You aren’t going to play catch up with a young military who just had twelve years of combat operations...
Again, lets just pray it doesn’t go that way.
my scenario occurs only after the collapse - totally agree that whatever militias exist now are not sufficiently trained and armed to go up against the Govt.’s resources. I, too, pray this never happens. As with most bullies, I think we are dealing with cowards. There is always hope that Good Men will prevail, God willing (and that’s the dicey part).
Yes, militias for self defense against the mongrel hordes after the collapse is a must.
