Dick Gregory is not as funny as he used to be.
I got satellite radio because I wanted to listen to stand-up. After a month or two, I couldn’t bear it. It was so anti-American, anti-conservative, anti-Christian, I didn’t want to hear another thing. They not only lost me as a customer, I’ll never go back.
I still think the House should pass a $15/hr min wage and dare the Senate and Baraq to make it law.

I hope Wal Mart pulls out and stays out of DC. And I hope other businesses follow Wal-Mart’s lead and stay out of DC. If these folks want a ghetto, let them have it.

Then these three white boys came up to me and said, “Boy, we’re giving you fair warning. Anything you do to that chicken, we’re gonna do to you”. So I put down my knife and fork, I picked up that chicken and I kissed it. Then I said, “Line up, boys!”
This routine caused a direct request from publisher Hugh Hefner and he was booked as a replacement for the white comedian Professor Irwin Core
Gregory met his wife Lillian Smith at an African-American club; they married in 1959. They have ten children, not including one who died at birth.
He has been criticized for being an absent father. In a 2000 interview with The Boston Globe, Gregory was quoted as saying, “People ask me about being a father and not being there. I say, `Jack the Ripper had a father. Hitler had a father. Don’t talk to me about family.’”

DICK GREGORY has lost his 40-acre farm in Plymouth, Mass., in a foreclosure, although he said he, his wife and their 10 children hoped to continue living there. Mr. Gregory said he hoped to work out a deal with Citizens Trust Bank of Georgia, which claimed Town Hill Farm after he defaulted on a $165,942 mortgage.
Mr. Gregory told The Patriot Ledger of Quincy, Mass., that he was unable to make payments because of his pending lawsuit against his two partners in their Slim-Safe Bahamian Diet business.
