Yes , I wouldn’t consider “I was there “ Awards as decorations worth mentioning.
I was listening to a reporter speak of the Battleship moored at the Navy Yard. We haven’t had battleships since they retires the New Jersey and the water in the Potomac isn’t deep enough to float one past the Morgantown Bridge.
Of course it a Destroyer and not a large one at that.
Just a few months ago a reporter said “a group of Battleships” and I have no knowledge of the Navy other than a brother and friend that served- but I knew we have no Battleships much less a group of them that travel together...though that would be a sight to see...
