I’ve never been able to figure out the difference between Picts and Celts.

When the Celts arrived the Picts were already there.

The Celts are the big scarey men wearing dresses that they call kilts
The kilt is made with nothing worn underneath , so that " the breeze runs thru the trees"
Nothing makes Celts more anrgry that "a cold breeze thru the trees" ,
and add a bad whiskey,.. that makes the Celts outright crankey and pi$$ed !
They arm themselves with spears , swords and noisey and scarey instruments call "bag pipes" , in America we call them 'bad pipes'.
In American parades , we frequently put the bad pipes near the drummers so that you cant hear the screeching and sqwaking so you wont be afraid.
The Picts are the lads running away from the already drunken and pi$$ed Celts , and are rarely photogenic since they were running for their lives !
That is why there are so few pictures today of the Picts.

P.S. That is why Irish Whiskey tastes so good today .
Nobody wants a drunken Irishman who is pi$$ed , so they improved it !
There's not much they can do about the "breeze ".

The Celts came by way of Ireland by way of Central & SW Europe mostly being more refined and cultured.

Now your Picts were native(ish) who favored tattoos and were rather crude, hairy, and given to belligerence. Quite reminiscent of our liberal women today.

The Picts were larger, lankier people who inhabited the northeastern area of Scotland. The Celts were on the western side of the island, and into the outer islands, down into what is now Wales.

If you run into men bearing the last name of “Kerr” who are > 6’6”, you’re probably looking at the remains of the Pictish genetics in Scotland.
