Wow, yesterday you pinged me to post 83, and now, there are over 200 posts..Y’all sure been chatty this weekend.
My snow peas are up, ditto on the wa wa tsai, and toy choi, which I thought I planted too deep as the seeds for those two are really tiny.
Snails ate most of my alyssum, despite putting sluggo, and deadline out..Guess, they loved the little seedlings.
I am going to sluggo my entire back yard.
I see lots of dead snails, but more live ones just keep showing up. I hate snails..even the supposedly eats the other snail decolletes.
I wish I had snow peas seeds - I really like snow peas in stir-fries. I must get some for spring planting.
Do they have to have a lattice to climb or are they bush plants?
Speaking of Toy Choi...
What I thought was all spinach was both spinach & Toy Choi; it became obvious when both went to seed. It did not look like what I had envisioned.
For sanils and slugs :
place a pie plate at soil level
place stale beer in the pie plate
The beer will give off an aroma of fermentation that slugs and snails like
They will die intoxicated and happy by drowning in the beer
Do not reccomend to Johnny , as he will get pi$$ed at the waste of good or stale beer !
