Yes, there was. But, the thing with that, this guy was found in the lobby of his building, that sounds more like and old style mugging.

Admittedly, I did not go to the link for the whole story. But, if he was found in the lobby of his own building, how would a mugger get in there? I am assuming that this guy makes a pretty good salary and lives in an upscale building with good security.

There was a shot of the building and it doesn’t appear to have a doorman or anything like that, it’s just a small building, probably 4-6 stories.
So, with a mugger, they wait until you open the outside door and then they “push in” after you. That seems more like what happened here, but of course one can’t be sure.
It could have been some person he picked up too, and the robber figured it would be easier to get away from the lobby area than from the guy’s apt.
I wish the news guy a swift recovery and I hope NYC doesn’t go back to the bad old days when stuff like this happened all the time.

Here is an update from today’s NY Post. Yes, he did have a homeless boyfriend (which seems so cold, wouldn’t you try to get your BF a home?) and he was found in the lobby because he went down there, maybe chasing the perp or trying to get help.
