Ball control means no turnovers and he did that well in the games he won, which was the majority. The leader of the team on the field is always considered to be the QB, especially when that QB is Tim Tebow.

Ball control means completing passes. Which he doesn’t do. Hitting the grass instead of an opponent is what we call a Pyrrhic victory. QBs aren’t always the leader of a team, they call the plays, but there have been more than a few successful QBs that are not the rabble rousing type. There was chatter this off season about Aaron Rodgers not being a big leader type, but he completes passes.
