Today is a great day not only in Australian history, but also in world history. It marks the day when people of character and sensibility pushed back against an overwrought and pointless green agenda, and pushed back in a big way. Theyve had enough, and theyve scraped the Krudd off their shoes and are moving forward.
Tony Abbot has won the Australian election in a landslide, and vows to abolish the carbon tax as a first order of business. Abbott has declared Australia is once more open for business in claiming victory in Saturdays election.
It is a huge blow to the Rudd-Gillard labor party and their green goals, which were built on a lie foisted on the Australian people. In 2010 when Gillard said no carbon tax in a videotaped speech that has been seen as the key moment Australians lost trust: Then, shortly after she was elected prime minister, she acted as if those words were never spoken, and implemented a carbon tax anyway. Theres nothing worse than a liar who is oblivious to their own lies, and in my opinion, this was the catalyst that set the stage for the end of labors green dream as well as their dominance in government.
Abbot says he will abolish the carbon tax. In an August 5th Herald Sun article:
If elected, the coalition on day one would suspend the CEFC (Clean Energy Finance Corporation) and prepare legislation to shut it down permanently. Its vowed to introduce legislation within a fortnight designed to abolish the carbon tax, and all government climate agencies associated with Labors clean energy laws.

Yeah Team! First good news I have heard in a long time.
It would be nice if conservatives in America could learn to deliver common message to take back the country from the commies.
How about getting their guns back that were confiscated?
Al Gore wept.
The Green Agenda is fulling the Pockets of Friends and Family ,nothing to do with environment
Lenin didn't call the proles Useful Idiots for nothing.

You stay classy, obscure blogger guy ...
We need to do this to the EPA.
Australia unlike the US has a privately owned MSM dominated by conservatives I.e. Murdoch. Or conservatives in their context anyway. The other side has a minority of the conventional MSM but balances out by controlling the ABC - the Australian version of the BBC. This means that government foolishness is widely criticized and there really is a national conversation. Unfortunately this is not the case in the US.
There was also a 180 on the homo-agenda. Good news enviro-fascists and pink swastikas both defeated in Australia. Coming soon to N. America, I hope.
Since Romney’s “47%” is more like “50% + 1”, it’s unlikely the party of work and production will win over the party of make the other guy pay.
This is hilarious. Globullist everywhere must be pulling there hair out.
My company has a substantial mining division in Australia, and the recent decline in that sector has now impacted its overall performance, leading to ongoing tight times for at least the near future.
While this downturn is partly attributable to geopolitical factors (e.g. lower China exports), the Green influence there didn’t help matters. Hopefully, a quick reversal of fortune will take place now...
1-Stop vote fraud.
2-Nominate candidate that inspires vote turnout, rather than motivates voters to stay home.
3-Quit trying to out do the liberals on vote buying programs.
Yes, and far more than "Sit down and shut up."
Easier said than done. I think one of the biggest problems Republicans have is that they let the media and Democrats control the entire narrative.
For instance, Dems say “Republicans want to cut school lunches” and instead of saying “We think what’s best for kids is to have their parents responsible for their meals” they accept the premise and basically apologize for their position.
Tony Abbot has won the Australian election in a landslide, and vows to abolish the carbon tax as a first order of business. Abbott has declared Australia is "once more open for business" in claiming victory in Saturday's election. In 2010 when Gillard said "no carbon tax" in a videotaped speech that has been seen as the key moment Australians lost trust: Then, shortly after she was elected prime minister, she acted as if those words were never spoken, and implemented a carbon tax anyway. This has basically been a 3 year election cycle. People have been disgusted at the arrogance and over reaching of this government. Sometimes being confrontational sometimes just being educative conservatives have used their computers especially via social media (mainly FB) to show up the lies, the arrogance and the division in the Labor Party.
We had such a close election last time and the Labor Party forged a minority government in conjunction with the Greens and some Independents. The Greens used their leverage to force upon Aussies their Green Agenda - this was not what Australians voted for and we have been fighting it ever since - today is just a step along the road to redoing our country in the light of it’s history, to draw from that and to create a vision based upon that. Not some UN agenda which has no correlation with who we are and who we want to be.
Just because Abbott is a conservative he will not get a free pass. He better do what is best for all of us or we will hold the flame to his feet as we did to the Labor Party.
