If you wipe out the civilian power grid of a major city that would be disruptive enough.
I went through the outage a few years ago here in Ohio, when the whole east coast and parts of Canada went down due to squirrels chewing on the lines....
I guess that was my wake-up call to be prepared ...and yeah...take down the grid say in NYC, LA, or Chicago life might be interesting for quite sometime.
