We have not received any of our expected observations of comet ISON due to a spacecraft problem, AHearn wrote in an update on the EXPOXI website. Communication with the spacecraft was lost some time between August 11 and August 14 (we only talk to the spacecraft about once per week). The last communication was on August 8. After considerable effort, the team on August 30 determined the cause of the problem. The team is now trying to determine how best to try to recover communication.

I actually own this on DVD. I knew it would happen sooner or later. It has a happy ending, though.

No, its obviously a brown dwarf thats coming to kill us in November of 2011..wait, were still here?
Of course we are still here. We are in a time loop caused by the accompanying black hole. We’ve been through this over 47 million times now. I’m getting bored. The only fun part is right after it destroys us and I experience that sudden rush of no atmosphere when I freeze and die.
And then it’s last month again...

That could be it.
That, and whatever the diabetic chemist was cooking up at the end, instead of insulin (mustard gas?).

Yeah, the chemical weapons part too.
Can’t have civilians learning to defend themselves with anything other than harsh words.
I’m betting that given all things equal, the bstrds in DC would happily spend OUR tax dollars to prep THEIR survival sites in the case of an imminent hammerfall.
That’s just the kind of people they are...
