I finally saw the video of this yesterday. The sad attempt at making their "show" shocking and sexual completely failed. It wasn't shocking, it wasn't entertaining, it did not titillate anything but ire; the only things clearly on display were her tongue and ineptitude.

I have not been able to tolerate her song since before I knew it was hers (I'm a dip $#!+ I can do what I want).

If this was all about keeping her in the spotlight it has clearly accomplished that. Is she the heir to the Lohan legacy? Time will tell.

OTOH, it would be a mixed surprise to find out she is not a cheap little slut, but is simply willing to portray herself that way. What if she is intentionally misrepresenting herself before the millions of girls who grew up as her fans? It seems to me she would be saying "My fame is more important than all of you combined". In many ways, that is even worse.

Either way, this was one of the most pathetic things I have seen in a very long time.

This was the best thing to ever happen to MTV. Heck not only did it become a hit in the ratings, but it has been non stop discussion since it occurred. Heck even Syria is talked about less. Next year's MTV Video Awards might just be the most watched in it's history. I am not saying that is good or bad but bad publicity in Hollywood normally turns out pretty good for them.
