Netflix has “Watch On the Rhine” on DVD but not “Hitler’s Madman,” which is the story of Reinhard Heydrich and the destruction of Lidice. Due to poor queue management I did not receive “Watch on the Rhine” in time to review it for this post. We must rely on Bosley Crowther for that. That is what we pay him for, after all.

I was amused to see “Hitlers Madman” posted by Homer J. Simpson. :-D

Heydrich, the "Madman," was the worst of the worst. He joined the SS as an early Nazi Party member. He organized Kristallnacht and the Einsatzgruppen on the Eastern Front. Heydrich chaired the Wannsee Conference that planned the Holocaust. He was a ruthless Jew hunter in the territories he governed.

Heydrich deserved a far worse death than he got.
