The show is written sooooo well but I have one beef. When Skylar was confronted by Hank about what he knew about Walter, it seemed strange that the subject of a wife not being able to testfy against a husband was not brought up? Nor has it been brought up in earlier shows when Skylar threatened Walter about exposure.
A wife cannot be COMPELLED to testify against her husband, but she can if she wants to.
A wife can voluntarily testify against her husband, but she cannot be forced to.
I do believe that a wife is able to testify against her husband.
The wife however, cannot be ‘compelled’ to testify against her husband.
Legally, a wife may not be COMPELLED to testify against a husband.
However, a wife can VOLUNTARILY testify against a husband.
Thus Hank’s attempts to cajole/browbeat her into it.
She can’t be forced to testify but can do so willingly. That’s what Hank was trying to talk her into doing.
hank wanted walt/heisenberg so bad he effed up and got himself and gomie killed. he wasn’t gong to say anything about that to skylar. he uses people all the way to his death without regard, to get heisenberg/walt.
