Ted Cruz’s mother was fully American. Born in America of American parents and meeting all legal qualifications under law to produce an American citizen baby when Ted was born. That is why he did not need to be naturalized.
What you are recounting about his father is not at issue, because of the facts - about the woman who gave birth to him, and the controlling law.
The date of Cruz’s father’s naturalization has absolutely no impact on the law. He falls under 301(a)(7) which recognizes the at birth citizenship of a baby born overseas to parents, one of whom is a US citizen.
The fact that I am a naturalized American citzen has no bearing on Ted Cruz but Sirius Lee saw fit to mention it...
The parent connected to Ted Cruz is his father who was not an American citizen when Ted was born in Canada but was naturalized years later...
I dont know why Sirius Lee mentioned my status but he did...
maybe you 2 can have a catfight about it...
However although I was not an American citizen when my son was born in the US, his father was..
so my son was born in the US of 1 American citzen parent...
so he is more eligible than Ted Cruz...
is that what you meant, Sirius Lee ???
BTW my 4th great grandparents were both born in the US of parents also born here..
fully American. Born in America of American parents and meeting all legal qualifications under law to produce an American citizen baby when my 4th gggp were born in NY state...
My 4th gggp had children born in Canada...
My 3rd ggf was born in Canada in 1797...thus an American citizen...
He married a lady born in Vermont in 1815 of US born parents and grandparents..
again we have 2 US citizen parents...
their children were born in Canada...
My 2nd gggf was born in Canada in 1833...an American citizen...
Eligible to be POTUS...
