Teens face ethnic intimidation charges after brutally beating woman in North Side

PITTSBURGH — Three teenage girls are facing several charges, including ethnic intimidation, after police said they brutally beat a 32-year-old woman Sunday in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Investigators said the incident happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Concord and Itin streets.

According to police, the girls threw a bottle at the woman’s car, and when she stopped to confront the girls, they attacked her.

“It’s sad, but it doesn’t surprise me. Our youth …,some of them are going in the wrong direction,” said one resident who did not want to be identified.

Officers said the woman was kicked, punched, robbed and left in the middle of the street. Police said they also called the victim a racial slur.

Witnesses ran to help the woman and one man said he watched as the three young black girls, ages 14, 15 and 16, were arrested.

Well, I don’t want to be accused of jumping the gun. Too often news outlets are loathe to mention the race of either the perp or victim. As per the headline, it could’ve been White trash going after a Black/Hispanic/Asian, etc.

There's no white version of "Knock-Out King" or "Polar Bear Hunting", no "Beat Blackie Night" at the Iowa State Fair. If there was, you'd know about it, because it would be headline news, the _resident would put his big nose in it, the leaders of the racebaiting industry would be calling for marches and demonstrations, and we'd be hearing even more from every self-appointed pundit about how there's an epidemic of rayciss whites preying upon innocent blacks. We're hearing that anyway, in spite of the fact that the exact opposite is the truth.

I would raise the voting age to 21 with one exception--active duty military or veterans.
