Yes. She was suppose to be a nun. I found it quite sacrilegious.

I didn’ t care for Lady Gaga’s performance... the dancing and all was fine, but i didn’t get the costume changes.. none of it made sense to me... Kanye was boring... i enjoyed most of Justin Timberlake’s performance, but it was too long... Miley was pathetic, and she ruined Robin Thicke’s performance... overall, disappointing VMAs... imo...

I didn’t get the big white pearls... she kind of looked dressed like Barbara Bush with a square head... surprised she didn’t wear a rosary...

Drop the cable, hook the TV up to the internet and watch what you want. I think that’s what most kids are doing now anyway. Cable TV is going the way of the home phone, an unnecessary expense for a product that is not often used.

I agree with you. IT was music vs shouting. Just think if there had been an MTV during the big band era. Big orchestras! Dancers and singers. That was entertainment. Don’t get me wrong, there was some of that too this year as well, but for the most part it was trash, that no one will remember after the saw dust is swept off the stage floor.
Prediction: 20 years from now an X rated video of 15 minute fame people like Myli will be common place.

I didn’t see it, my kids didn’t see it, and we didn’t miss it. Perhaps some parents shouldn’t allow the TV to be a babysitter.

“surprised she didnt wear a rosary...”
She can't because a crucifix would cause her to burn and melt like Dracula.

Of course this will result in some channels going broke due to lack of subscribers (MTV being one of them I think) but ifthey can't make it in the open market they shouldn't be around anyway. But the open market is what you have when a cable company packages channels and then offers the packages to the customers who can decide to either by the service or not. Having the John McCain and the government come in and regulate the offering, and screwing with the business model, is the opposite of an open market.
Besides, people always have the choice to watch TV shows on the Internet.

“The worst thing about it all though was watching that old geezer Alan Thicke and his old mans body. What a turn off.”
That wasn’t Alan Thicke. It was his son Robin Thicke. And he’ young, not an old man with an old man’s body. Shows what generation you are from not to know this, lol.

Last night I watched Madonna's 1984 performance at the VMA. I was amazed that she was not as vulgar as this one's. The only thing about Madonna's 1984 "Like a Virgin" performance was she did have a true wardrobe malfunction. Her skirt got hiked up in the back as she was rolling down on the ground. The cameraman, being a man, got hold of this and zoomed right in. All you see are her garters and panties for a few seconds kinda like Marilyn Monroe's skirt blowing scene.

Networks said the program was approved for viewers as young as 14.
Any parent that doesn't realize that MTV is and has been smut ought to look more at themselves than the little box that says TV-14 when letting their children watch the show.
The VMA's have a history of shock/sex performances. Anybody who was offended should simply go to their channel guide and remove MTV from the list. It's very easy. Heck, I even did it with Disney and teen-Nick.

Quit subscribing to cable. Get internet only and subscribe to Amazon prime and/or Netflix. Watch what you want, when you want. AP is not all pay per view-many current shows and older movies are free. Drive the market with $...

Get internet only and subscribe to Amazon prime and/or Netflix.
Close to pulling the trigger on that one. However, live news and sports has been what's holding me back.
To: mmichaels1970
Not sure about the sports, but the “headline news” is available online for free you can even loop it to see the same stories over and over again just like watching real tv. LOL
To: Morgana
Bet she never gave a seconds thought about denegrating islam in any way.

You're right. I could live with that.
I could even watch the Browns with an antenna. I'd lose the Indians though.
I'll probably do it and deal with it soon.

Jeesh, I know that. Just put that in to see if someone was actually reading my post, and to see if anyone else around here has a sense of humor this morning besides me...
