Representative Danny K. Davis (D-Ill.) and Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) are sponsoring legislation which amends the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to include a 20 percent tax on handguns--"pistols [and] revolvers"--as well as a 50 percent tax on "shells and cartridges." The bill is H.R. 3018 and it is titled the "Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act of 2013."

I'm pretty sure their targets - the British authorities and and their Loyalist henchmen - thought so too.
Didn’t the late....and not so great....New York Senator Daniel Moynihan proposed a 10,000% tax on ammo a number of years ago when this fool “served” in the U.S. Senate? I think it was during the Clinton years.
He must have been a “all or nothing at all” type of guy.
Oh, I know but if 20-40 million taxpayers did this it might kill the beast. But then I’m an awfully serious optimist.
