IIRC there's at least one photo of her weighing about 300 pounds. So maybe it was Twinkies that stole her voice.

I thought she deserved her fame. A lovely voice, intelligently applied. Cute and sexy in her day. Her politics substantially diminished her, but if I could flip a switch and cure her Parkinsons, I’d do it.

I remember Raquel Welch singing “Different Drum” to the troops in Viet Nam. I remember thinking she had a great voice then I realized she was lip syncing.
She was doing it well as her lips matched the music perfect through out the song. I guess it is even possible that she was singing it but I don’t think so. She sure did look good tho.

I have prayed Psalms 58 and 59 over many people. Ronstadt was one of them. She can sort it out with God.

My 1970s would not be the same without her. Her songs litter my playlists.
We are going to see Karla Bonhoff perform in Denver next month. Karla wrote many of Lindas best songs.

Parkinson's Took My Singing Voice Who's that guy Parkinson who took her voice? (And by the way Linda, learn the proper use of apostrophe's.)

She really had a great voice! Indeed she did but in my opinion the greatest female voice ever was Mama Cass Elliot.

OK, I am really ticked off now! They better get her in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame now! It took Leon Russell almost dying a couple of times but they finally did it for him!
There is no excuse for this unconscionable slight.
Donna Summer, but not Linda Ronstadt? Darlene Love, but not Linda Ronstadt? Madonna, but not Linda Ronstadt?
Were Ruth Brown, LaVern Baker and Etta James known as rock n rollers? They are all in the RRHOF but not Linda Ronstadt.

I saw her at the Fillmore East in NYC with the Stone Ponies, in I think 70 or 71. While we were waiting to get in, she walked through the lobby, right near us. What a babe!
Now as for her politics, she's a wacko. Still, she had a great voice. Her early covers of Buddy Holly were good. And the two Nelson Riddle albums are great.

I saw her ten years ago and she sucked. She murmured her way through a bunch of Nelson Riddle crap. Sucked I tell ya.

Better when she was with the Stone Pony’s. She obviously toked and snorted a little to much with moonbeam brown back when they were an item. Liberalism and poor judgement made her a didiot.

I’m so sorry to hear this about Linda R.
When I heard her version of Heat Wave for the first time over the radio it was love upon first listen!
