I understand part of the deal to get him to resign was for the city to pick up his legal fees for the upcoming sexual harassment lawsuits...

Anybody confirm that?

I wonder if my employer would pay my legal fees if I asked my secretary not to wear underwear to work everyday...not that I would want her too... since she is 63 years old...:)

It's true. Legal fees and payouts for settlements and/or damages paid. City Attorney Jan Goldsmith is talking about it now. he did say that the city could seek reimbursement from Filner for any damages paid. But there is no guarantee it will do so and you can't get blood from a turnip.
