Pictures. The studio has slated the film to open worldwide on July 17, 2015.
Last months surprise announcement of the new movie featuring both Superman and Batman created a wave of excitement and immediately fueled discussion and debateamong fans as well as in the mediaabout who would put on the cape and cowl of Bruce Waynes alter ego.
Snyder successfully re-imagined the origin of Clark Kent/Superman in the worldwide blockbuster Man of Steel, which has earned more than $650 million worldwide to date, and climbing. The director will now create an original vision of Batman and his world for the film that brings the two DC Comics icons together. Affleck will star opposite Henry Cavill, who will reprise the role of Superman/Clark Kent. The film will also reunite Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

Is Matt Damon cast as “Robin?”
Geek websites now working...fanboys are PISSED!
Confirmed: NOT satire. Reported as a blue-eyed fact on Ain’t It Cool News.
Not sure they made the right choice.
It’s getting quite sad.
"By playing a superhero in Daredevil, I have inoculated myself from ever playing another superhero. Wearing a costume was a source of humiliation for me and something I wouldn't want to do again soon."
Never mind.
actually i can see affleck as the perfect dorothy in a remake of Oz
I see his character is Raymond Sellars. Is that the slimy businessman? Keaton can play a good slimy guy.
One thing about a remake, there’s no such thing as a spoiler. Everyone knows what’s going to happen.
He is too much a dough boy for that role
My teens hated Man of Steel, they said it was incoherent, dark and ultimately boring because the action scenes where just too long.
Solely for the unscripted ad-lib “I’m Batman”.
Bale owned it, much like he does every other character he plays.
“The Machinist” was incredible.
Boring is right. Even the fight scene at the end. After about 45 minutes I said ENOUGH, just finish this.
He was pretty bad ass in “Gigli.”
Way to kill the franchise, Hollywood!
Backroom deal by his publicists and agents trying to jumpstart his otherwise dead career.
Probably, but does he have to destroy a franchise in the process?
B. Affleck Baffling Pick For Batman As Bale Bails
I`m no Batman fan but Affleck is to acting what wet bread is to a sandwich.AND he looks `slow ` and dim. But hey...maybe Superman will kill him!
