I don’t have a very wide circle of friends/acquaintances.
i guess it’s not that surprising, esp considering its westmoreland co. i had black friends at Pitt though. My mom referred to our wedding as the united nations, bc my black secretary and a black coworker came up from DC for it, and California law school friend of japanese extraction also came, and xshub’s korean heritage college roommate was there. So i guess we were avant-garde in that respect.
I’ve never avoided or sought out anyone based on race. But it is what it is.
well obviously not. living here there are people of all stripes. i am working at home today, the kitchen remodel is in full swing. my contractor is iranian, one of his workers is hispanic, the other arab of some stripe [his name is MO... so i figure he is]. today is xsbaby’s first day at NOVA. she said there were blacks and asians in her english class and a handful of whites [one tatted up white boy from philly, who she fears may be a flyers fan and she is already committed to wearing a caps tshirt next week, bc she wants to get out front on that, LOL]
