Per Ruger service,
I have a friend that left his 44 mag out in one of the wells of his bass boat.

The well drew water.
The blueing was shot.

Ruger refurbed it for like $150
Reblued it, changed out springs.. pins..

all in about a month.
He says it is as good as new
