Search warrants say a family friend tortured and killed a mother and her 8-year old son before setting his San Diego-area home on fire and fleeing with the woman's 16-year-old daughter.
The warrants unsealed Wednesday say James Lee DiMaggio and Hannah Anderson exchanged about 13 calls before Hannah was picked up from cheerleading practice on Aug. 4.
Both phones were turned off, and the home burned several hours later.

So after 2 weeks of phone calls with her back and forth he picks her up after cheerleading practice and takes her to his house from where they were going to go away together, but mom gets wind of it and goes over to his place and tempers flare and mom threatens to call the police and report him and mom gets shut up permanently with a crowbar along with the other witness. They leave the phones so they can’t be tracked and take off and spend 6 days working on alibis if they are ever caught.
Stories like this are on 48 Hours all the time.
Some points:
1. Many of her posts are profanity-laced and use urban slang, with f**k, c**t, and b**ch prominent.
2. She admits to being sexually active, and that she prefers black boys over Hispanics or whites.
3. She defends her huffing of nitrous oxide to get high (”whippets”), stating that she performs the dangerous act only in the company of friends she trusts.
4. She states that she has five body piercings (probably not out of the ordinary for a lot of teens these days, unfortunately).
5. Many times she states she absolutely is returning to her SoCal high school, although there is a report her father wants to take her back to Tennessee where he lives — the broken home the media have been ignoring.
6. She says she is uncomfortable around all adult males at the moment, including her father, which would be understandable.
Is Hannah innocent or complicit in the murders and flight to Idaho? Who really knows at this point — not enough facts IMO.
The question is appropriate though!
Agree
All I can say is our theory makes more sense than what’s being said. It’s not enough to convict her. But it’s sure enough to suspect her.
I don’t understand how any parent could let a pretty teen age daughter go off with a 40 year old man on overnight trips no matter how good of a family “friend” the guy is. It’s pure stupidity.
Her parents may have known about this for some time and were trying to put a stop to it. I’m leaning toward mom threatening him with prison and he went nuts. The old “If I can have her nobody will!” crap.
I’m also thinking her daddy may not have known all of the details since he lived in Nashville. Then again her daddy and her seem to have a strained relationship. He may have known and was trying to get her to not see the guy again.
This all comes down to she could have been involved. Or even worse, she could have been the cause.
I hope it’s just my wild imagination and I pray her daddy and her will find happiness together as the only family left.
Look up Charlie Starkweather. He got the electric chair and his girlfriend got a few decades in prison. All the local folks thought they should save some money and put her in Charlie’s lap then light ‘em both up at once. They could ride the same bolt of lightening.

“Both phones were lost in the fire”
Really? A 16 year goes no where without their phone, so how did it get in the House where the Mother and Brother were killed unless she was there?
She was there. Both phones were turned off at 4PM. They left the house without phones.
After 13 phone calls she was picked up by someone unknown after gym. She was driven to his house. While she was waiting, he killed and tortured her mother and brother. And killed the dog. The guy set up a timer for the fire to start later.
They got the cat and left for Idaho. He was holding her under duress, but both managed to change clothes and relieve themselves.
The jury is still out.
Both phones were turned off at 4PM so they could not be traced via GPS. They did not take the phones with them.
I'm not sure about that; I believe today's cell phones can be traced even when off unless the chip and/or battery is removed. Can anyone confirm?
“After 13 phone calls she was picked up by someone unknown after gym.”
Have you read the article? It states: “Their initial point of investigation was DiMaggio’s phone records, which showed that he and Hannah Anderson had 13 phone conversations in the days and weeks leading up to her abduction.”
I have read this one and many more. Almost all of them said the phone calls were on the morning of the fire. Like here:

I’ll find the warrants. It should settle the matter.

The 7 warrants attached at the bottom of the page
Most people do not realize this, but the reality is that cell phones are tracking devices that governments, law enforcement authorities, big corporations and even stalkers can use to easily track your movements. If you do not know about this yet, then you are going to be absolutely amazed by what you are about to read. Not only do cell phones track you wherever you go, they can also be used to listen to your private conversations even when they are turned off.
Agreed.
But these two didn’t take the phones with them. So how could the phone track them?
Warrant #1 only states that prior to both phones being turned off, phone records indicated that they have called eachother 13 times. The 10news.com article uses the term “that day”. Warrant #1 doesn’t. I did a cursory of the remaining warrants but didn’t find info relating to those phone calls.
CNN “that Day”

The search warrant says Robinson had “multiple/unusually large volume of calls to DiMaggio’s phone on the day of the crime.” Investigators originally suspected Robinson was “possibly aiding DiMaggio in his capture by authorities.” Robinson has not been charged with any crime.

So then what is Lora Robinson’s suspected involvement???
