Search warrants say a family friend tortured and killed a mother and her 8-year old son before setting his San Diego-area home on fire and fleeing with the woman's 16-year-old daughter.
The warrants unsealed Wednesday say James Lee DiMaggio and Hannah Anderson exchanged about 13 calls before Hannah was picked up from cheerleading practice on Aug. 4.
Both phones were turned off, and the home burned several hours later.

Did she learn the house was rigged to explode AFTER she was rescued? Did the cops give her that info?
She said the guy creeped her out but she never said anything because he was her dad’s best friend and she didn’t want to damage their friendship. But she goes on MULTI-day trips? And, she doesn’t seem to have a very good relationship with her father. There are definitely questions that need to be answered.
I know one thing that LE will be looking at — what extra clothes and personal overnight items she had with her. If she had extra clothes with her and ovedrnight items then that will indicate preplanning by way of 13 phone calls.
See there is the rub. She claims she didn’t know they were dead until her return. Yet, at some point she is aware of this several hour rigged burn, if the freak told her that would mean they were dead and she did know it. Will have to wait.
Her comment when the horse back riders were there: : “I guess we’re all in trouble now”.
What did that mean? It was reported by the riders.
Keep in mind that I'm not saying these incidents occur because the administration wants something to hide behind.
However, the media use these to fill the column inches and minutes of airtime they could devote to reporting on government's excesses, inappropriate largesse, failed policies, and downright criminal behaviour.
However, I must note they have nothing to fear from a dead perpetrator, and the Government can make things rough for them--not to mention the usual aggrieved people who decide motivation might be anything other than exposing criminal or improper behaviour.
I’m talking about ALL competitive sports. Year round.
They take men’s minds off the real issues. And they are too stupid to know it.
She says that her mom and brother were tied up in the garage that was fixed with explosives set to go off while they were on the road to Idaho, and then for six days she makes no effort to pass a note to a gas station attendant, a grocery clerk, a shoeshine boy, anybody so that they can be untied if still alive.
And then when rescued she says that she didn’t know that her mother and brother were dead — days after those explosives were set to go off. What did she think that explosives do to a person???
I suspect that she knew they were all dead before they left.
Not just men, but I agree.
I wonder if by “we’re all” she meant she and Uncle Jim — not the horse riders.
And mostly men on this thread think Hannah is 100% innocent. I say, let’s wait for law enforcement to do its job.
I believe she meant her and Jim.
and the cat — but the cat ain’t talkin.
Ah, they never do. :o(
I think she’s protesting a little too much on ask.fm. She says she wishes she had done more to protect her mother and brother. What does she think should could have done? She says they all went over to ride go-carts. But according to the article he picked her up from cheerleading practice.
My theory: Mom went ballistic when she found out he had picked her up and FINALLY suspected there was more going on. She went to his house to confront him and he freaked.
Then again, it’s just a theory. One I’m sure the cops have considered. I DO think the sheriff so FORCEFULLY saying Hannah didn’t do anything wrong means he thinks she did.
If that cat could talk what a tale he’d tell
about Della and the dealer and the dog as well.
But the cat was cool so he never said a mumbling word.
Hopefully I’m not considered in that 100% of FR males? I have grave reservations that she’s all that innocent.
I met some absolutely angelic, beautiful young ladies in my youth who were incredibly evil in nature. Looks don't mean anything in my book. I have a strong paternal instinct, but still recognize not all are sweet and innocent as they would seem, and some are incredibly diabolical.
I say, lets wait for law enforcement to do its job.
I agree.
unless the cat’s got somebody’s tongue ~
I’m thinking it’s the sad situation where the teenaged girl is ‘blinded by love’, and runs off with a creep, who killed her family. It’s even possible she helped him kill her mother and brother. Horrible to contemplate, but sadly, it wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened.
