Last night was the first episode of the last season.

We already knew Walt is dying from cancer again.

Last year all took place around birthday 52 and the end-of-season flash-forward showed many things:

He is alone on his 53rd birthday, his hair has grown back and he has a beard (stopped Chemo) but he is coughing up blood so you know he is dying, he bought a machine gun.

This episode (509) started with more foreshadowing- apparently after he picks up the machine gun he goes to his house, which is now a boarded up and fenced-in wreck, just to retrieve a vial of RICIN he had stored.

The next door neighbor lady looked petrified at seeing him there- I thought I heard him call her “Carol” once but “Karen” another time.. may be wrong about that- but that shows something major happened and she knows, although being next door to a fenced-in house would be hard to miss.

I can’t picture Hank doing anything FOR NOW except try to manuever the kids and Walt’s wife out of the picture to ‘safety’(Skyler is such a cool name!)

Hank is awesome in that his first instict is always about protecting someone else.

Hank is really in a catch 22 situation, everything I can think he might do about it has it’s own huge risks and negatives attached.

the "something major happened" I believe is a DEA no-knock warrant and bad things went down and Walt's family was killed. Hence the machine gun and the ricin. Walt is going to serve up some revenge. (Even though his actions brought about the tragedy!)

I believe he called her Carol both times.

My perception was the house had been seized by the Federal Govt. because the truth had come out that WW was Heisenburg the Meth drug lord of the southwest. Therefore, there must be a warrant out for his arrest(similar to Whitey Bulger).

Also, that WW had been on the run for some time. Remember the first scene from the first half of this season? WW was driving a Volvo with NH plates with the “Live Free or Die” state motto? He had a different vehicle in this foreshadowing scene at his old house. He switched cars.
