Sounds like the judge unleashed some faith-based tyranny on the parents.

The judge is supposed to restrict himself to the law regardless of circumstances as I understand the law.

I understand the point of the >>Title<< Messiah....is not in fact a NAME

Jesus The Christ....THE MESSIAH

perhaps the judge secretly craves being referred to as MESSIAH?

“Messiah was No. 4 among the fastest-rising baby names in 2012, according to the Social Security Administration’s annual list of popular baby names.” I didn’t know that.

What the?? Wait a minute here...Although I'm no fan of someone calling their kid "Messiah" what right does the government have to dictate what you call your kid? Oh that's right, I forgot...we no longer live in a Constitutional republic. *Slaps head* I forgot. We must all serve the state and what the state dictates. Thank you Democraps and the RINO party, splendid job.

Mr. Wordsworth! You will name the child what the STATE decides! You are OBSOLETE!

If the kid had been named "Mohammed" or "Allah", no doubt it would've all been hunky-dory.

There was a Black guy attending Troy while I was there. His name was President Carlisle.

There were also two Black kids in my hometown name Collard Green and Turnip Green. Another one in that same family was named Birmingham. Their other 9 children had ordinary names.

I recall Singer Grace Slick first named her child God before she was convinced to change it to something less shocking.

I have a question? Why do Latinos get away with using the name ‘Jesus’?
