Looks like the dome of a Russian Orthodox Church. A phallic symbol? Only of a very diseased phallus.

She gave it the shaft. One of Karen Goulds first acts as president of Brooklyn College was to thrust $107,000 into creating a new school logo... The company soon cut all visual references to the seminal symbol of the La Guardia Hall tower, erected in the 1930s. The media is run by stupid teenage girls, for stupid teenage girls - of every age level.

College spokeswoman Keisha-Gaye Anderson would not say where the $107,000 came from, but claimed not from taxpayers or tuition. She would not say why the Baltimore firm was chosen over less costly college staff.Maybe from her personal piggy bank?

That’s nothin’. Eastern Michigan University/Ypsilanti has it’s own *ahem* water tower that looks like that and WE are proud of it.
Legend had/has it that if a virgin graduates from Eastern Michigan University the tower would crumble. The rumor is false.

erected in the 1930s.Heh heh, heh heh. "Erected".
The clock tower at Brooklyn College is reminiscent of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, so I can see why it would be offensive to the liberals there.
At least back in the 80s, the liberals there still had some pride. Sure, they were still commie pinkos, but they had some sense of pride.
They should've just gone back to using La Guardia Hall as the logo, or use the clock tower but not as a silhouette.
