Prepare to be outraged.....Shocking Surveillance Video Captures Cop Brutally Beating Female Shoplifter In Front Of Her 1 Yr Old Child in Iowa.

I worked in corporate loss prevention a long time ago...let me tell you...this is beyond lawsuit...these cops should be in prison.

Thank you sir, but that isn’t the full video either. At 00:25 of that video there is another cut, with an entire minute missing from it.

I count about 18 seconds between the time he went hands on (to arrest an admitted and habitual thief) to when he began punching.

His hand also appears to be near her mouth immediately before he started punching...reinforcing his claim. His injuries also support it.

I invite anyone here to let someone bite them without doing everything in their power to get free.

People are free to believe the habitual, convicted thief who was caught in the act if they want...I’ll believe my lying eyes and the cop.

I think it is hilarious that even after the Zimmerman debacle people are taking the news at face value without even examining the video. It makes you wonder what has to happen in this country before people learn to be critical.

Surely you wouldn’t want the blood from her brow bone getting into the cuts on his knuckles, now would you?

She admits she bit him. On the video, in her own words.

In her own words, she said she bit him as he would not stop punching her.

The video shows the suspect LEO punching her with both hands. No?

I think you’re confused. Ya don’t tell a suspect their under arrest until your able to immediately secure the suspect..

Otherwise the suspect could bolt, reach for a weapon...exit out a door etc...No?

The video is edited to remove what happens between the time he begins to take her into custody and when he starts punching.

Secret missing video?

What is clear the LEO moves from across the room and physically attacks the female. No?

You speculated it was because she was talking on her phone?

Do you have audio of this event? I didn't hear any audio...Could you provide that?

“I’ll believe my lying eyes and the cop.”

And that right there ^ is your major malfunction.

Did you hear him say, “You’re under arrest” before he quickly moved across the room and attacked the female?

Where are you hearing this? Do you have audio of this event?

And for all the people saying that it was wrong to do that in front of her kids...maybe if she doesn’t want her kids to see her arrested she shouldn’t bring them along on her thieving trips.

I'm sure she routinely uses the kid and the stroller to hide her loot.

Maybe his other, other hand was in her mouth.

So..what if the -cops- edited the video to omit the part where her brow was smashed in?

I think they should just crush her skull as another poster suggested.

Shocking Surveillance Video Captures Cop Brutally Beating Female Shoplifter In Front of Child

This reminds me of another mindless headline from the last few years, "woman arrested for petting dog."

What does "in front of child" add to the story? A one-yr-old has no clue.
The story was not so much news as advocacy. Surely, the woman was forced to shoplift.
Also the video was probably edited to show the slant that the writers of the story wanted to present.
Rodney King, anyone?

If I were on a jury, I would want to see the entire sequence; before, during and after the shoplifting event. Unless the "victim" is a protected class. Then it doesn't matter.

I didn’t notice the part about her biting him. I’ll watch it again.

Aw, C'mon!
You think the reporterette would even acknowledge that there was more to the video than just "the beating?"

So if there is some other video showing the female initially attacking and assaulting the cops first, why have the cops not shown it like they routinely do in other cases?

You might want to actually read the story before you start calling other posters names. She admitted to biting the cop.

She was in the manager’s office with the cops and it appears she said something one of them didn’t like so they both just started to pummel her.

Actually, no! The first "cop" approached the woman with what appears to be handcuffs, grabs the woman's wrist, who appears to be resisting what the "cop" is attempting to do, and after he appears to be unsuccessful in restraining her, the second "cop" comes in to assist, and then the "pummeling begins. A big problem here is the quality of the chopped up video.

She admitted to biting the cop.

That's not all she said. Why omit the rest?

She said she bit the cop because he would not stop punching her.

There is a recurring belief on FR threads, unjustified by any Constitutional principle, that you can use deadly force against any intruder in any circumstance.

Why don't you run a series of tests, and find out first hand?
I pick the neighborhoods.

I think I'll need to choose just 2, and one backup; if you survive that long.

Did I make some sort of claim of there being some other video. I must have missed that I did that.

I hate thieves. I have little sympathy for those who get caught and then get a beating. In fact, a beating is the lesser of the punishment I would like them to receive. Yeah, I'm that cold hearted - when it comes to thieves. Rapist and murders should be given an instant airing of the inside of their skull, while child sexual predators should be slowly flayed. I have little caring for the cretins of the world.
