First thing that comes to mind is Joel Salatin’s

“Everything I Want to do is Illegal”

Many years ago, I had a coffee table book titled, "Through The Wizard's Eye" ... might even still HAVE it around here somewhere ... and the entire thing was a photo journal of clever people and their ability to take ordinary things and make extra-ordinary things with them.

There was one section on homes and I swear, these young kids saw that book and copied what a number of those homes (published in the 60's I think) had shown to be rermarkable usage of wood.
