Where did you study theology? Who did you read? I’m curious.
There’s a big difference between good theology and bad theology.
I don’t remember who we read - it was 30+ years ago. I studied at Viterbo in La Crosse. And I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t a particularly good student. :(
Your quotation btw is from Stuart Chase. You may not know this, but he was a communist and a supporter of the New Deal.
If you want good theology, I recommend Chesterton. He was called the apostle of common sense.
Thanks for the recommendation.
How about the tale where the Jewish people are regathered from the four corners of the earth and that they’d become a nation in a day? Yup, the Bible is just full of whoppers alright.
...the Ophel Inscription. It likely bears the name of the jug's owners and its contents.
if only they had found a pair of jugs
BTTT!
Kudos to the article for using BC.

Good point.
Is it not sad that this usage is now notable? Just 10 years ago, I certainly never would have imagined such a state of affairs.
It does not seem that long ago that I found myself a little puzzled at reading about college campus demonstrations in which the chant was “Hey! Hey! Ho! Ho! Western Civ has got to go!” I distinctly recall that Je$$e Jack$on was a participant in one of these demonstrations.
Apologies for this highjack to the person who posted this thread. /highjack
