A wolf-hybrid.
Hybrid’s personalities can range from complete dog-like to complete wolf-lime, so you have to choose carefully.

I had a lhaso apso, who was about 25% larger than the average lhaso apso. She had an aggressive personality, attempting to pick fights with much larger dogs. However, if any dog attempted to get aggressive in return, she always showed just how chicken she was.

I have a 4lb silky (Luci Belle) who has no idea how small she is. She barks at my sons 125lb American bulldog like she's going to attack. I have to hold her back. She doesn't realize he could eat her in one bite.

I like this dog, because unlike the other giant dogs, he’s not one bit lanky.
He’s all meat.

We have a seven-month-old puppy who’s pushing 80 pounds...a shelter dog, allegedly a mix of Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and Walker Coonhound. He’s got Pyrenees size, Shepherd coat, and Coonhound coloring...right now he basically looks like a giant somewhat shaggy prehistoric dinosaur-huntin’ dawg. And he’s nowhere near full-grown yet, God help us!

My neighbor has a Pom with a huge case of “short dog syndrome”. Inside most of the time.
He also has 4 REALLY big outside dogs. Occasionally Pockets (the pom) goes outside and runs with the big guys. It never fails to crack me up when I see them together. There is no doubt that Pockets thinks he is the size of the others and struts along with them.
I find it interesting that the big guys kind of surround him...like they are protecting him.

I had a wolf hybrid “own” me for 16 years. He was big...but not nearly that big!
(Not that I play favorites with any of my pets, but he was definitely one of my favs.)
