Our friends at PBS and Masterpiece have given BuzzFeed an exclusive look at five images from Season 4 of the British period drama, which returns to Masterpiece on January 5, 2014. Baby Sybil!

Here's one. See the others at link.

United in grief? Poor Mary and Branson both lost their significant others, Matthew and Sybil, during Season 3 of Downton Abbey. Now both single parents, they’ll have to raise their young children on their own. Oh, and with the help of a fleet of servants.

Thanks for posting this, it’s an amazingly addictive show. We just finished binge-watching the first three seasons last week. Now we don’t know what to do with ourselves!

I watch seasons one and two on Comcast on demand. Where did you find season three?

We are in the same situation here. A friend of ours told us about the series. I ordered it from Amazon and now we can’t stop watching it.

A few suggestions if you like the British produced shows:

Foyle’s War-GREAT!
Lark Rise to Candleford (Mr. Bates is a leading character)
Island at War
Monarch of the Glen
House of Cards (1990 version)
Wish Me Luck (a bit corny, but I still enjoyed it a lot)
Sherlock (the newest version with Benedict Cumberbatch-quirky, but extremely creative)

Most of those are on Netflix, although I believe last time I looked Lark Rise was only available on Amazon.

Downton Abbey is an excellent series and I'm completely hooked. But it can't hold a candle to Upstairs/Downstairs.

Upstairs/Downstairs is one-half the show of Downton Abbey.

Upstairs/Downstairs is one-half the show of Downton Abbey.

In terms of the technical aspects of the series you're correct.I'd wager that,in inflation adjusted pounds,Downton has a much larger production budget than did Upstairs/Downstairs.But in every other way.....

Gordon Jackson? C'mon now! I see that you're an Aussie...I love Australia and her people.Have you seen A Town Like Alice? Gordon Jackson!

Where is Season 3? Only one and two on Comcast.

I missed about half of the season (the end) and never could pick them back up.

Downton Abby is my guilty pleasure.

Oh and Duck Dynasty. About as far apart worlds as you can get, eh?

I have all three seasons on DVD and I have seen them so many times, I just about know them backwards and forwards. It’s a wonderful show. I cannot WAIT...

I just watched the very first Sherlock about 15 minutes ago. I bought seasons 1&2 yesterday and am starting it now. Just taking a break before I start the second episode. Very watchable!

Amazon Prime costs $79 a year and they have all three seasons of Downton for free. You can stream to your Amazon Kindle Fire or, if you download the app to your laptop, a very easy process, you can watch on your laptop on a bigger screen. During the broadcast season, the eps are available the next day for $1.99 for indefinite streaming, then some months after the season ends, Amazon Prime has had free streaming. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll do it for Season Four.

I think Foyle’s war is probably the best series I ever saw. I enjoyed Downton Abbey, too.

I burst out laughing when Matthew Crawley got killed.

I admit that I love this show, though.

Why would that make you laugh?!

I watched all 3 seasons and do enjoy it, but jeez they killed off alot of characters! I understand actors wanting to move on, but c’mon!

Curious to see what they do next. I for one will miss Matthew.
