There is an ad for Oscar Mayer on my computer on NRO. In Spanish.
I wonder how I got targeted for that?
If you go to the Home Depot site, to cabinet hardware, you can find a very basic one under “cabinet pulls” on page 3 or 4-it is the general shape and color, but the thing comes in hammered metal, accented metal, pointed, round, etc depending on what supplier you buy it from-but you can get the idea from that pic...
Perhaps you clicked on an FR Wiener thread!
I was just wondering if she chose the same ones I did.
We also found a great stone tile, grey, blueish, reddish ...brick shape that we used on the exposed wall.
I know the one you mean, I think-the guy who was the general contractor for this house put it in his kitchen-pretty stuff. I was going to use something like it on both the floor and wall here, but I bought a 12x12 textured stone one called Nile blue-It is pretty, but it won’t fit the look I plan to go with in the next house-I’ll need a warm terracotta color tile.
what handles? i haven’t picked the ones for the kitchen yet. i have some downstairs on the cabinets there.
tweeted a pic of downstairs cabinets, cabinet pulls and backsplash. i don’t know how to post it from the iphone or if it’s even possible. Sorry T5 i know that doesn’t help you!
Yikes! Scorpions are nasty - my Mother had them at their lake house years ago but hasn’t seen any since they had the house treated....
Good for you! I can park pretty well too - and good at parallel parking but the tahoe has a really bad blind spot over the passenger side back seat - the headrest is at a bad spot for me so I usually drive with that seat flat
Haha - yeah, when my husband was flying more he had that business class designation or something which allowed him to go to a different security line and not get frisked every time. He misses that now that this company makes the reservations for him he no longer gets that service.
OK, the bead-board style doors in a med finish? sounds awesome.
That will be pretty - I have a dark granite and honestly lose things on the surface! lol Black bread ties just blend in with the granite and I often have to get down a bit to eye level to find those things! lol But I love the granite and wouldn’t trade it!
I have that same wasted space where a desk should be! Poorly planned though because it would mean a chair right where you walk into the kitchen from the hallway (even though there are two other places to enter the kitchen this is the first one you come to) - I have considered installing a wine fridge in that spot and just enclosing it with facing to make it look like it was planned for that spot
that would be a great idea for that dead spot! i of course do not need a wine fridge, but that would be a nice use of that space.
The realtors out here tell people if they are frightened of bugs, don’t live in the country-scorpions are a fact of everyday life here, especially in summer. I don’t usually get stung more than a couple times a year-about the same as those big red wasps...
Our daughter finally made it home with her new boyfriend. Had a nice lunch and hung out with the puppy all afternoon. I really, really like him.
he is going to bring me pieces of granite to choose from after the cabinets are installed. i do not like FLECKS and the one granite that Mr B was steering me towards was black but had that flecked look and honest to God it reminds me of 1950s or 60s countertops, do NOT LIKE! xshub was not with me when i first went but i had him come on Sunday when we went back and he was saying oh, that’s too dark yada yada. I can go a little lighter, but i do like the idea of a warm auburn colored cabinet with dark countertops.
Oh good! glad they are there and you approve of him!
I have an empty space-I decided against a desk there and put it here in this tiny alcove instead-and I put the butcher block I’ve had for years in the empty space-it works...
I’m going to install the cabinets differently so I don’t get a space again next time...
you guys taught be about bead-board today. i guess i had heard of it but never knew exactly what it was. i guess all you HGTV-ers know all the terminology, and since i have never watched even a single show on there, i just describe what it looks like, and can’t call stuff by name! i am warming to the task a bit now that it will happen within the next month, but as i told you, my friends just rhapsodize over this stuff and i just can’t. i know what i like, i make quick decisions and i do not second guess myself, or need to see every possible permutation on the planet before deciding. i looked at kitchen faucets online today for about 15 min and i am ready to send Mr. B my choice. i figure i will make a show of having xshub see it and approve it before i forward it....
