The birds do take the eyes first, sometimes even before the animal is dead. We have found newborn calves with their eyes pecked out. Buzzards don't always wait until an animal is dead.

See my post #82 (and stop with the alien stuff, it makes ya’ll look dumb).

You definitely see that with cases of normal predation, but that hasn't been reported with these mutilation cases.

You really ought to read some of these reports, Ditter. There are reams of them, going back decades. Those doing the reporting are experienced ranchers and farmers who know what natural predation looks like. They've seen it all their lives.

These kills are unlike any they've ever seen, all of them bearing inexplicable kill conditions such as:

Lack of blood or other bodily fluids
Only select organs and body parts removed
Surgically clean incisions
No tracks or footprints around the carcasses
Lack of disturbance by insects or scavenger animals
Guard dogs not alerted to attacks

I'm not even advancing a theory to explain all this. I'm only saying that I believe that these ranchers and farmers are reporting the truth of what they've seen. Many of these unusual kills have also been documented by local law enforcement and veterinarians.

This has been going on far too long, and is much too widespread to dismiss out of hand.
