The thing that bothers me about McDonals (besides not offering 100% whole grain bread) is the french fries. They're a lot of calories without even the nutritional skin. McDonalds has the food technology so they could easily come up with a carrot or sweet potato option that people would like.
They also have the technology which enables them to decide which items are both profitable and desired by their customers.
