Maybe I’m showing my age, but those late 70s early 80s designer jeans were the bomb. Even girls that weren’t exactly svelte looked hot in them.


The Levi’s Shrink-to-Fit 501s were the best.

They’d fit a bit funny the first two or three wears but as you wore and washed them they’d fit like they were made for you.

That was long before Levis started to suck.

Yeah I remember getting those hard as a board Levi's in the 70s. It would take many washings, but eventually they conformed to your body and were soft as butter.

Anyone remember Toughskins?

My mom refused to buy them. Thankfully. They looked stupid with the elastic waistband.

One of my earliest memories was where a kid was wearing Toughskin shorts and he pooped himself on the playground.

At least the shorts were brown, too.

I remember also wearing an everyday jean called Sedgefield boot cut. Nice comfortable attractive. I think they were guy jeans.
