"And I know its the fashion, but I hate the skinny jeans trend!" You and me both! I see so many females that are, well, far from skinny and trying to pull them off. And on the other side of the spectrum, the very thin ones end up looking spindly-legged.
Nothing like a good pair (or several) of boot cut jeans, IMO.

In the eighties I used to have to lie down on my bed to zip my Jordache jeans. And standing I had a concave tummy back then, boy they looked good with heels

Ironic trivia time: the name of the “actress” used for that poster? “Toni Moon”!

I think jeans peaked in the mid 2000s. They had all the best qualities at once: low waist, form fitting, and flared at the ankle.
The ‘70s had it right except for the high waist.
The ‘80s were pretty bad with high waist and tapered leg, but at least they were form fitting.
The ‘90s were the nadir with high waist, tapered leg, and baggy fit. During this period jeans did everything wrong.
Then all the sudden in the 2000s it’s like the sun came out and the dark clouds of bad jeans receded, leaving us to frolick in the sunny uplands of attractive jeandom.
The problem now is the tapered legs, and I fear high waists may be on the horizon...

I notice Richard Kiel is in that movie. Haven’t heard/seen much of him since he made Moonraker (he was in movies dating back to the 1960s). He did a local radio ad recently for a surveillance equipment store.

I don’t remember those, but I’m embarrassed to admit having purchased two acid wash jackets, just as the fad was ending. I still have them. I’m even too embarrassed to use them for yard work.

I quit buying anything from Levi’s (which includes Dockers) over a decade ago due to the family propensity for supporting anti-2A groups.
One word for you: Carhartt.

I don't get this. Do you mean to tell me that clothing styles change over time? Is that what's meant by "fashion"?

Look for Wrangler 47s, rigid. Under $25.00.
