Better than some beat box or turntable - then, now, or forever. Rock on Mick.

Did they also tour in Texas in the late sixties? I vaguely remember sneaking into a Stones concert in either Dallas or Fort Worth. It would have had to have been pre-fall of 69.

It’s heavier, and more complex, with bigger arrangements, and the songs are longer; the musicians are more technically proficient, the singers have more power and range, generally; songs are about more than woman and cars and parties and stuff like that.
But, I am referring to metal music...

Right on, bro!
The bones were strolling fine 10 years ago in this great clip that showcases Mick, Ronnie, Charlie, along with the inimitable Bobby Keys:

Dead Flowers is country, and this is jazz...not bad for the worlds greatest rock and roll band!

Party on Mick. One of my favorites was at the time in concerts they introduced him as Mick “bums rush Jagger.” During their appearance on SNL, the first thing that happened in the familiar Olympia restaurant sketch ( Cheeburger, Cheeburger ) was Dan Akroyd threw Mick out of the place.

Anybody around here see “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones”?
Keith was missing some teeth, Mick overdid the makeup and glitter, but Taylor was outstanding!
My Tivo picked it up a few months ago from VH1 probably.
I was floored to see the Stones perform so well live.

It’s hard to say anything original about the Stones, except they haven’t been the same since the passing of their founder, and their current keyboards player, and at the same time their musical director, in my opinion, sucks!

I bought ‘Sticky Fingers’ at a HMV record Shop in London in April 1971. Got back to the US with it and it hadn’t been released in America yet. It was pretty cool being the only kid in the neighborhood with the new Stones LP, even if it was only for a few days. Still have that record, right in the stack of crates behind me.
