I'm a 14-year-old girl who has lived in Austin, Texas, my whole life. I like art, music and talking on the phone with my friends. When I grow up, I'd like to become a science teacher.
I also believe in the right to choose and the separation of church and state. Or to put it another way -- to put it the way I wrote it when I was protesting at the Capitol last week: (expletitive)
Jesus wasn’t a clotheshanger.
xoJane.com is where women go when they are being selfish, and where their selfishness is applauded. This is not the place to find out how to please your husband, mom, kids or boss. This is the place to indulge in what makes you feel good.
We are not snarky, but inclusive and uplifting, while remaining nothing but honest at all times. Like Sassy and Jane before it, xoJane.com is written by a group of women (and some token males) with strong voices, identities and opinions, many in direct opposition to each other, who are living what they are writing about.
xoJane.com is not about changing yourself to fit any mold of what others think you should be. It is about celebrating who you are.
xoJane is a collaboration between Jane Pratt and SAY Media.
To the kid: Honey child, keeping religion out of this, you still have the legal right to choose abortion up until the fetus is viable. No one has deprived you of anything. You have 20 weeks to decide if you want to end a life or bring a life. Surely, even at 14, you can make up your mind in that length of time. 20 weeks. That is longer than your school’s 3 six weeks grading period. That’s an entire school semester with the 2 week Winter Break thrown in. The law speaks only to abortion, not whether anyone’s genitals have been anywhere near to you so your sign wasn’t valid. BTW, when you talk trash, you get trash talked back at you.
Perhaps they did not know it was a 14 year old girl when you posted it, and frankly if you go out of your way to offend people why are you surprised they call you names? Also I would bet some significant $$ that Dad or Mom is a DUmmie.
I for one appreciate these threads. I disagree that they don’t belong here. They serve as a message that we must confront and deal with.
Unfortunately - this thread will be “No Thanks”d in a few minutes.
Yes, it’s Austin. The blue blight in our once great state. Home of UT libtards, Hippie Hollow, tree huggers and all manner of low lifes who pride themselves in “Keeping Austin Weird.”
sick freaks
If he was really proud of his daughter, he would be wearing his daughters tampons as earrings .... now that is support!
BTTT
I see that some of the pro-life posts have been removed from that site. Some guy named victor/vector had an awesome post.
Maybe they have a gardener named “Jesus” that molests her.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Daddy had already been there.
I know of no father who would encourage and assist his 14-year old daughter to hold up such a sign. That poor excuse of a father must be from Austin.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
“Let’s hope this filth never becomes a mom.”
She won’t. She’ll abort early and often.
does anyone know of a good Baptist church in Austin?
Don't stoop to that level. This guy is a friend of mine. Yes, he's misguided ... quite the lefty. But I pray for his eyes to be opened ... at least on this one issue. He may never leave the left, but hopefully he can at least see the truth on the abortion issue.
That said ... your comment was out of line. Equally as pathetic as his daughter's poster.
See my previous post.
