How long before lefties push to ban fire extinguishers?
It looks to me like they are applying the same logic here as they do with “you don’t need a gun, call 911”.

Rozhakov defended her decision to the media. "I fired her only because she left her room," she told the TV station. "It's not acceptable, and if anybody else does the same thing, I will fire again. I will fire them. No question." Another zero-tolerance idiot. There's a job for her in the public schools somewhere.

So, as soon as the chicken nuggets caught fire, her job was forfeit, no matter what she did or did not do. Had she stayed in the room she would have been fired for not dealing with the problem while she could have. She was fired because her boss was embarrassed that the thing happened at all and somedamnbody had to get fired!

This sounds like bureaucratic grooved thinking at its worst. America’s ed schools seem to be doing a wonderful job of indoctrinating the common sense out of our nation’s educators.

Maybe the owner snuck in and started the fire so the place would burn down and she could collect the insurance on it. Maybe
that's why the teacher got fired: saving the owner's building and school lost the owner the insurance money!!
Ha ha! Anyway, I guess the teacher was just supposed to march the children out and let the place burn until the FD got there, huh?

Olga sounds like a moron and a power-freak; withdraw all the children from this school.
To: massmike
Someone should ask the demented Olga - if you are in a building, any building, and you smell smoke or burning, isn’t it NORMAL and RESPONSIBLE to investigate? Are the children all going to die if the teacher leaves the room for a couple of minutes? Isn’t leaving children alone in a room by themselves for a few minutes a normal part of everyday life? Must all parents sleep in the same room as their pre-school children?
To: massmike
The boss may be a complete moron, but, on the other hand, she may face even worse penalties if something happens to one of the little darlings when the caretaker is out of the room.
Could just be a case of dueling government regulations.
