Great in “Crime Story.” RIP.

RIP. Good actor. His previous real-life experience made him a good cop actor.

Being that it was about Pittsburgh and I’m from Southwestern Pa, Striking Distance is a favorite movie of mine. He had a great line in it when asked if he was going to be the next police chief:
“Not me, kid. I’m just a Larimer Avenue dago.”

I thought he played a great role in the Chuck Norris film “Code of Silence”.
RIP.

The Comcast guy? Verizon users can breathe easily now.
In the commercials Farina seemed like he was ready to beat them with a tire iron and rip out their Fios systems with his own bare hands.
Seriously, though, he was a compelling actor who did good work, and didn't seem like a jerk. Rent Luck the "doomed HBO series" and see if you like it.
A former Chicago policeman, too.

Couldn't sleep Saturday night so I turned on cable and stumbled onto the movie, "Bottle Shock", with Farina and Alan Rickman. It was a great movie that is not very well known. Farina was stellar, as always.
RIP.

He was great in the Crime Story TV series circa 1985...Directed by Michael Mann. His later roles were kind of a caricature, him playing Dennis Farina. RIP!
