That’s one of the great things about companies like Bethesda. They release tools to allow gamers to tinker around with their framework engine and create great content. It only makes sense for that to become a key route into the job market.

Wow - it appears video games have advanced quite a bit since “Mike Tyson’s Punchout.”
Until recently, I didn’t realize how much influence Bethesda had over the gaming market. I thought the big players were Blizzard, EA, Rockstar maybe? Now I’ve been involved in Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout, and I’m seeing how massive they are as a development house. Much props to this kid for his work.

I fiddled with the editor for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for a few days years ago. It took me hours just to create an empty cave. Needless to say I was not hired by Bethesda to create content for Skyrim or ES Online.
