If Quantum Mechanics was around in Darwins time and if he had studied it, he would know evolution not to be gradual and that every once in a while a rare combination of mutations would lead to the quantum leap. You're using the popular trope 'quantum leap' to mean a sudden and dramatic change; that's not the meaning of the term in QM. A quantum leap is usually the smallest possible change in the state of a particle.

Darwin’s original theory is about slow continuous change. Quantum theory is about discontinuity.
