Cathy got a surgical feeding tube. The doctor gave me a geniune assessment, because he felt I could handle it. He told me she’s likely to recover, she made it through the surgery and the sedation. He warned me he was giving me an honest assessment so don’t hold it against him if he’s wrong. I agreed. I asked why I had gotten such pessimistic assessments and he said ‘thats what I train them to do. But I feel you can handle the truth, and won’t flip out on me if something bad DOES happen.’
I’m grateful for the honesty, and grateful she might be okay in the long haul. These have been the most hellish 48 hours I have experienced in a while; glad they are coming to a close.
We’ll be praying for her little organs to heal now. We need to get her back on her paws so she can get back home and to the business of eating your soul.
I can so identify what you are going through. I lost my little Yoda 13 days ago and I can’t stop crying. She was 14 yrs old and spunky almost to the very end. I will pray that your precious Cathy and you are on the mend and you have many more mean... er...meaningful moments together :)
Great news!
God bless her sweetest little heart.
Now Laz, God has given you a very precious gift.
You do your part now, and recover fully, and sweet Cathy will too.
She needs you with her.
I know for sure our prayers helped and I also know she’s received and is receiving the finest, most tender care.
God love you both.
I do.
XOXOXOXO
Sounds like this sweet little Cathy is in good hands, Laz. Continued prayers for her recovery — and for you, too. How old is Cathy? And what kind of kitty is she? Stripes, calico, tuxedo ???? I want to picture her in my mind.
Some vets do give really negative appraisals. Now I know why! I’m sure your kitten will recover. I was told my cat had cancer 15 years ago. She’s now, supposedly, dying of heart troubles. As I type, she’s trying to walk across the keyboard.
Great news, Laz! Cathy sounds like a tough little gal. In fact, you both sound like fighters. As long as you pick yourself up, you are one, and Cathy sounds like she still has her gloves on. (((Hugs))) and {{{Prayers}}} continuing!
