My Rocket was old, too.

We adopted him as an adult who was supposedly "1-1/2" years old, but from the condition
of the label on his cage, we were pretty sure that 1-1/2 was far behind him. [smiles]

He was at least 17 when he passed on after spending 15 wonderful years with us.

We are so grateful for the time we had with him. He was an angel. He never once purposely
bit or scratched anyone, no matter what. Vets called him "a trooper."
