I sometimes wonder if the vast majority of humans planet-wide believed the phenomena they were experiencing for certain had extra terrestrial origins, would it change their perspective to take a longer view on life as a planet family?

Yes, I remember it. I’m 68, nearly. He said it in front of the UN assembly. Like so many things RR said (back when his speech writer was an honest conservatives; she’s not so much now) this rings true even today, decades later.
